01Where to stay

A night in Siddhpur

Siddhpur has hotels, guest houses and dharamshalas, and Mehsana and Palanpur have more choice within an hour’s drive. Rooms can be harder to find during Kartik and Pitru Paksha.

We can arrange your hotel, travel and a local guide — tell us your dates and budget. These are charged separately from the rite.

02Timing your trip

Arrive the day before

The purohit will confirm your start time; the main rite takes about three to four hours. Arriving the previous evening lets you start rested and on time.

Kartik, Bhadrapad and Chaitra are the busiest months, and the town is especially crowded during the fair from Kartik Ekadashi to Kartik Purnima. Book early if you plan to travel then.

Before you leave home
